The NYC Office of Emergency Management will be here all night. Don't forget to tip your bartenders and waitstaff.

More one-liners from the cheeky Office:
  • IN CASE OF A TERRORIST ATTACK, DIE THEN SAY YOUR PRAYERS. JUST NOT IN THAT ORDER.
  • IN CASE OF A HURRICANE, EVACUATE THEN LOOT. JUST NOT IN THAT ORDER.
  • IN CASE OF A FIRE, PULL HANDLE THEN BREAK GLASS. JUST NOT IN THAT ORDER.
previously in stupid NYC:
1. The MTA. Very Anal.
2. NYC's fancy package picker-upper
3. 16 million eyes...
4. Boomer's Beemer Befouls Boho's Bosom.
5. Phew! York.

Is the NYC Office of Emergency Management trying to be funny? Or are they actually that stupid?

Hmmm.

"...loot, then evacuate, just not in that order."

So, go loot some other city.

Nice. Fuck New York.

Somehow an Office of Emergency Managment full of clever wannabees doesn't inspire confidence. You want solid no nonsense boring types on hand when the going gets tough.

The only rapid response I saw in this city was 'I survived the NYC blackout' t-shirts, even before the power got restored.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates that ad.

hmmm this is actually ....uhhhh ... a clever line. assuming of course the content being advertised is helpful *prior* to the blackout.

The purpose of the NYC Office of Emergency Management is to manage emergencies, not make humorous advertisements. I helped pay for the ad, and I think my money could have been better spent on—oh I don't know—devising a better (or any) response plan for a dirty bomb attack?

perhaps you think terrorists will never attack NYC. Again.

u tell me and a couple thousand dead people if I'm being 2 cynical.

This is what happens when you're a struggling graphic artist and you're blowing the head of the Office of Emergency Management. Whoops, did I just say that?

Help and information should be absent of cute-ass remarks. If something is on fire, administer the help - we don't need to see you do a jig on the way to the fire extinguisher.
